Excursions
The Montsec is very attractive for mountain lovers; it is a spectacular, typically Mediterranean mountain range, with vegetation and rocky formations deserving to be praised. The hikers can decide to go on different itineraries, as for example the ascent of the peak Mira Pallars and Urgell, from where we have a spectacular panoramic view over the valley.
The short walks until the nearby towns of Montsonís are also recommendable. A walk around the area of Rubies or Vilanova de Meià can become a real discovery of the history since many fossils can be found.
For those who love adventure, the town of Àger is considered as one of the best Catalan capitals for free flight sports, such as paragliding or delta wing.
In Camarasa, apart from enjoying a refreshing bath in crystalline waters of the reservoir, we can also climb; its walls, together with those of Terradets, Sant Llorenç de Montgai and Mont-Roig, are like a second house for the climbers and a good place to start practising this sport.
